Come to our free informational session on FIRST® programs for kids in kindergarten through eighth grade and learn what’s involved with starting a team.

WHEN (choose from two dates):

Saturday, August 10
FIRST LEGO League JR (K – 3rd grade) 1:00 – 2:30 PM
FIRST LEGO League (4th – 8th grade) 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM

Saturday, August 24
FIRST LEGO League JR (K – 3rd grade)   8:30 – 10:00 AM
FIRST LEGO League (4th – 8th grade)  10:15 – Noon

WHAT:
If you’d like to understand what’s required to start a team at your school, youth organization, or neighborhood group, this is the workshop for you! This also is a great opportunity for Rookie Teams, Rookie Coaches and Mentors, and young teams to learn and ask questions.

Topics include:
- Overview of the program
- What the season looks like
- How to register a team
- Typical budget and what you need (supplies, equipment)
- What a typical meeting looks like (structure, space, etc )
- Functions to fill within a team
- Where to go for help
- Questions/Answers

Please note that this seminar does not replace the Coaches’ Workshops for registered FIRST LEGO League teams. The September workshop includes detailed information about the new challenge, building and programming the robot, and judging.
